On the 7th, Overwatch Season 5 titled Darkness Creed officially kicked off, bringing a fresh wave of content including a new support hero, a brand-new map, character reworks, and a major collaboration.
The update introduces Doctrine, a vampire-inspired support hero equipped with abilities like infusion, propulsion veil, vitality drone, and an ultimate named salvation that reduces enemy maximum health while granting bonus health to allies.
Additionally, Sombra has been shifted to the support role focusing on healing, while Roadhog received a double-barrel primary fire and a new junk compressor skill. The Grimsvøten Escort map and the Solo Leveling crossover featuring Sung Jin-woo themed Genji and Cha Hae-in themed Aran skins are also part of the update.
The Solo Leveling collaboration runs until the 20th alongside a fan art contest offering a total prize pool of 10 million won. A streamer tournament named Runner League with a 20 million won prize pool will broadcast from the 16th to the 23rd, and a Korean folklore-themed event runs until the 20th.
