Key information
Developer ZA/UM has officially released Zero Parades: Director's Cut for PC platforms, including Steam and GOG. This definitive edition of the espionage RPG is available as a free update for existing owners of Zero Parades: For Dead Spies. A PlayStation 5 version of the title is scheduled to launch on November 3.
The update introduces approximately 40,000 words of new narrative content, centered around a fresh dramatic encounter titled the Quisach Roundabout. In this sequence, characters Hershel and Ramses attempt to navigate an exit while intoxicated. Additionally, the game now features a Backstage Mode, allowing players to explore development history, cut content, and technical insights narrated by the Art Director.
Technical and quality-of-life enhancements include full English voice-over, a new audio mix, and support for 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios. Players can also utilize new inventory sorting and grouping features, controller remapping, and a Photosensitivity Mode. Visual updates comprise alternative character portraits, new death screens, and expanded pedestrian variety.
Gameplay depth is further increased through new clothing options for Hershel that trigger unique NPC interactions. For added immersion, the game now includes a redaction feature that obscures parts of previous dialogue when scrolling through history, intended to simulate a classified spy experience.
