Key information

Telltale’s The Wolf Among Us Remastered is scheduled to launch on October 29. Game Director and VP of Creative Matt Saia discussed returning to Fabletown, noting that the original title hooked him with its story, neon noir style, and fables characters set in the 1980s.

According to Saia, the developers preserved the original story, directorial choices, and core art style while introducing updated art and behind-the-scenes features. Every character was rebuilt from concept to final in-game model, featuring textures and models that are multiple times more detailed than the original release.

Technical enhancements include porting the quirky legacy engine to the latest engine used in the Batman series, creating new shaders for shiny objects and moving items, and completely relighting every single scene in the game. Furthermore, a dedicated Noir Mode offers a pure black-and-white film aesthetic with darker shadows.

The remastered version is currently available to wishlist by fans looking forward to experiencing the enhanced tale of Bigby Wolf.
