Key information
CD Projekt Red has released a substantial update, patch 5.01, for The Witcher 3 Remastered. This update is currently available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X, aiming to address various technical issues and performance concerns reported since the game's recent release.
The patch introduces several gameplay and technical fixes. Notable improvements include corrected ladder interactions, resolved issues with uncontrollable boats, and fixes for Geralt's stamina depletion during simultaneous sprinting and dodging. Additionally, console versions now feature new graphics settings, such as the ability to toggle Bloom, alongside performance optimizations and corrected frame-rate limits.
PC-specific fixes address bugs where incorrect graphics settings were applied or the wrong GPU was selected. Console players benefit from improved voiceover volume and persistent settings, resolving issues where configurations would reset upon launching the game on PlayStation 5.
Looking ahead, the developer is working on a separate update for the Switch 2 version of the game. This upcoming patch aims to improve image clarity and sharpness to achieve better parity across all platforms, with further details expected in the following days.
