Key information

The Wardogs community is currently embroiled in a controversy involving a VTuber who was banned for abusing game mechanics. The first-person shooter allows players to earn in-game currency by performing various roles, such as building forward-operating bases, which can eventually be converted into premium gold currency for cosmetics.

Streamer KatieRouu and their squad were banned for executing a specific exploit. They would construct numerous sniper towers at a base, intentionally surrender the location to the enemy, and then bombard the captured structure with mortars from a separate, supplied base. This loop allowed them to accumulate significant wealth through destruction and assist rewards without participating in legitimate team efforts.

Bulkhead CEO Joe Brammer confirmed the ban, stating that the team identified a non-organic cash loop used to farm millions for gold bars and skins. While the streamer challenged the decision, Brammer noted that the behavior was clearly unintended and promoted an exploit. He emphasized that the ban team acted appropriately and that the issue has been addressed for the upcoming season.

Despite some community members arguing that the actions utilized legitimate mechanics, the developer maintains a firm stance. The official Wardogs account stated that punishments for cash and experience exploit abuse are final and will not be overturned.
