Key information
Walmart has discounted the MSI Codex Z2C gaming PC featuring an RTX 5060 Ti to $999 with free shipping for a limited time. IGN commerce manager Eric Song noted this marks the first prebuilt system with a 5060 Ti priced under $1,000 seen since early summer.
The machine includes an AMD Ryzen 7 8700F processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB graphics card, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB NVMe solid-state drive. Power is supplied by a 650W 80Plus Gold power unit, while the 8-core, 16-thread CPU reaches a maximum boost clock of 5.1GHz.
According to Song, the 8GB RTX 5060 Ti outperforms the RTX 4060 Ti by roughly 20%, with an even larger performance difference in titles supporting DLSS 4.5. However, Song cautioned that the 8GB VRAM limitation causes struggles in demanding 1440p games like Control: Resonant or The Blood of Dawnwalker, suggesting upgrades for higher resolutions.
The discounted system is available now through Walmart as an affordable option suited for 1080p gaming capabilities.
