Key information
Ubisoft has officially announced the discontinuation of Rainbow Six Mobile, a tactical shooter spinoff designed for Android and iOS platforms. The publisher confirmed that the title will be sunset on January 15, 2027.
The mobile title was built to adapt the core experience of Rainbow Six Siege for touchscreen devices. Developers implemented a custom control system and optimized the user interface and visuals to ensure the game functioned effectively on mobile hardware.
Following the international launch in February 2026, the development team aimed to provide an accessible version of the franchise for short play sessions. Ubisoft stated that the staff responsible for the project will now transition to other long-term strategic initiatives.
While the mobile version concludes early next year, the original Rainbow Six Siege remains active on consoles and PC. Additionally, Ubisoft plans to release a new spinoff titled Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Tactics in 2027.
