Key information
Bit Reactor, the studio behind Star Wars Zero Company, has initiated the process of returning previously furloughed developers to its payroll. CEO Greg Foertsch stated that the studio aims to bring back as many team members as possible following the difficult decision to pause their employment near the game's launch due to unexpected business circumstances.
Reports indicate that the current number of staff on payroll has reached more than half of the studio's headcount prior to the furloughs. While this marks a recovery, some employees remain in a state of payless limbo as the studio continues to navigate its post-launch operations.
The initial furloughs were previously highlighted during a legal dispute between Greg Foertsch and former chief operating officer Alison Kelly. The lawsuit, which involves allegations regarding company ownership and leadership, is currently scheduled to proceed to trial next year.
Bit Reactor expressed gratitude for fan support following the release of Star Wars Zero Company. The studio has committed to providing further updates regarding the company and the game's development status in the near future.
