Key information

Microsoft has announced a significant update to its Xbox Game Pass library for October. While new titles like Neon Abyss 2 and Battlefield 6 are joining the service, several high-profile games are scheduled to depart on Oct. 15.

The most notable departure is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive. The title achieved critical acclaim in 2025, sweeping major industry awards and setting a record as the most-played game on the subscription platform that year.

The game offers a main story experience lasting just under 30 hours, though completionists engaging in side quests can extend their playtime to 69 hours. Players can also access the free Verso's Drafts DLC, which adds a photo mode, new outfits, and challenging combat encounters.

Other titles leaving the service on Oct. 15 include A Plague Tale: Requiem, Donut County, Pacific Drive, Crime Scene Cleaner, Evil West, Superball, and The Casting of Frank Stone. These removals affect Cloud, Console, and PC versions.
