Key information

ONE OR EIGHT's fixed-path tower defense game Pixel Hero Rumble Plus launched a free demo on Steam on October 7 at 11:00 AM Taiwan time. The demo covers the first five stages in the urban area, up to the first boss, which the developers estimate will take one to two hours. This is not a free release of all stages from the full version.

The urban stages offer Normal, Hard, and Challenge difficulties. After completing the tutorial, players can use the shop to unlock units, and defeating bosses grants unused units and EX skills. The game has players arrange units along a set path, using different abilities to deal with enemies along the way.

Demo save data can be carried over to the purchased full version. The version includes Japanese voice acting and subtitles, alongside English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese subtitles. The Steam Next Fest is scheduled from October 19 to 26 Pacific Time, which is different from the early demo launch date of October 7.

The full version is scheduled to release on PC Steam and Nintendo Switch on December 1, 2026. It is a single-player game rated IARC 7+. The PC version's announced operating system is 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. The content available to try out now is the urban chapter, while subsequent content remains part of the full release plan.
