Key information

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the launch of the PlayStation Game Music Awards 2026, celebrating music content featured on the PlayStation platform. The awards highlight game soundtracks released on the PlayStation format, choosing the most supported work among 20 nominated soundtrack titles based on their play counts on Spotify.

In addition to the play count winner, a Special Award will be given to a standout work determined by user support comments submitted through the official special website form. Fans who submit a comment can also participate in a campaign for a chance to win a 2,000 yen PlayStation Store ticket, with 50 winners to be selected by lottery.

The aggregation period for play counts and the submission window for user comments run from October 1 until October 31. Award-winning works for each category are scheduled to be announced in early December, alongside the publication of rankings and composer interviews.

A Spotify playlist featuring one representative track from each of the 20 nominated albums is currently available for listeners.
