Key information
The PlayStation Blog has initiated its monthly voting process to determine the top new video game release for September 2026. This poll gives community members the opportunity to select their personal favorite title among numerous recent releases.
The selection of nominees is curated directly by the PlayStation Blog editorial team, who compile a list featuring the most notable games of the past month. Major contenders mentioned for this period include Marvel’s Wolverine, Control Resonant, Dune: Awakening, and NBA 2K27.
Participants apply their own personal criteria when voting, such as deciding which single game they would recommend to a friend. While standard re-releases are excluded from consideration, ambitious and large-scale remakes like Resident Evil 4 and Final Fantasy VII Remake remain eligible.
Once voting concludes, the editorial staff tallies the community votes and officially announces the winning game across their official social media channels and the PlayStation Blog platform.
