Key information

Unity has introduced its official Claude Code plugin following the Unity CLI launch at Unite Seoul. The integration responds to a workflow in which developers describe a game to a coding agent before they have selected and opened an engine.

The plugin installs engineering skills produced by Unity, including a unity-cli skill for operating the command-line interface. It gives Claude Code instructions aimed at working within a Unity project and connects those instructions to the terminal tools introduced alongside the CLI.

Users can install it from the terminal or from Claude Code in the Claude Desktop app. Unity also identifies the integration in the Claude partner plugin listing, giving developers an alternative to building their own engine connection.

The announcement names Claude Code as the first supported agent for this plugin rollout and says other integrations are planned later in the year. That ordering describes this announcement’s rollout; it should not be read as a claim that later Unity integrations do not exist.
