Key information
Cryptic recently debuted a Neverwinter Next showcase video detailing upcoming content for Neverwinter, headlined by Module 34, titled Biting Cold: Sleeping Gods Lie.
The new update brings the Reghed Crevasse adventure zone, The Defense of the Mythallar skirmish instance, and The Devourer’s Pit trial featuring Grathmok the Devourer. Adventure zones feature a filling meter that grants quests pointing to rifts, offering optional combined buffs and debuffs called influence that lead teams of up to three players into zone boss battles.
Additionally, the broadcast highlighted Ascendant Mode, an optional weekly challenge mode described by Cryptic as intentionally unfair and experimental, yet offering rich rewards for completion. Other additions include artifact armor, a mount preview, queue reward improvements, and experimental graphics updates.
Cryptic aims to launch a module preview on October 17th, with the trial and skirmish planned for the weekend of October 30th, and the full module release expected in mid-November. The stream also teased the upcoming arrival of the Druid class and Tabaxi race without sharing further details, while the Harvester of Nightmares Halloween event has returned until October 22nd with familiar activities and rewards.
