Key information

Publisher 2K Sports and Take-Two have announced that NBA 2K25 is nearing the end of its lifecycle, with plans to remove the sports title from digital storefronts and shut down its servers within months.

On October 30, 2026, roughly two years after its release, NBA 2K25 will be delisted from digital stores. Users who purchase the game prior to this date will still retain the ability to play it, although they will soon lose access to major features.

Server shutdowns are scheduled for December 31, 2026, cutting off online access for buyers. Notably, the closure will also impact the popular singleplayer MyCareer mode alongside MyTeam because players will no longer be able to earn Virtual Currency.

Despite the server closure, modes such as Play Now, MyNBA, The W, and MyNBA will remain playable, while all server-dependent functionality will cease to operate.
