Key information

Unity has released its official development plugin for Grok Build, extending the same engine guidance already offered through its Claude Code and Codex integrations. The announcement positions the terminal as another starting point for building Unity games, rather than requiring developers to begin by opening an editor or download page.

The plugin supplies more than 30 skills written by Unity feature teams. They cover interfaces, tilemaps, rendering, shaders, audio, navigation, physics, purchases, multiplayer and localization. Unity says the three agent integrations share a repository and equivalent skills, so their engineering guidance can be updated together.

Grok Build users install it with grok plugin install Unity-Technologies/unity-agent-plugin --trust. The integration supports Unity 6 and later, and Unity describes the setup as independent of individual project configuration.

The company also plans to publish findings about CLI and plugin usage during October and is considering additional agent integrations. Those plans concern future reporting and support; the concrete release in this announcement is the Grok Build plugin.
