Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls will expand its roster with the addition of Phoenix Cyclops on November 2. This character marks the first entry in the game's Year 1 downloadable content roadmap.
Cyclops functions as an all-rounder, utilizing Optic Blasts for both long-range and close-quarters combat. His kit includes various projectiles, rushing attacks, throws, and setup tools to manage the battlefield.
The character features a unique transformation mechanic where players accumulate Solar Shards through Optic Blasts. Collecting four shards allows Cyclops to enter his Dark Phoenix form, inspired by the Avengers vs. X-Men storyline. While this state provides a significant temporary power boost and wide-area fire attacks, it carries the risk of health depletion.
Alongside the character release, players can purchase Classic and Legacy costumes for Cyclops. The update also coincides with a PlayStation Plus Game Trial.
