Mafia 3: Definitive Edition has officially launched as a native version for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. This update introduces the capability to experience the game at 60fps, providing a smoother performance compared to previous iterations.
Beyond the frame rate increase, the native release incorporates several technical refinements. Players can expect improved lighting systems, enhanced artificial intelligence behavior, and adjustments to NPC interactions during world events. The interface has also received updates to improve the overall user experience.
The update addresses specific progression blockers that previously hindered story completion and includes improvements to the achievement tracking system. Notably, these technical enhancements are exclusive to the new native versions, as the game does not feature similar upgrades on PlayStation 4 Pro or Xbox One X.
The native version is currently available as a standalone purchase. Existing owners of Mafia 3: Definitive Edition or the Mafia Omerta Collection can access this update at no additional cost.
