Code Wizards Group has appointed Catherine Bygrave as its new head of commercial. Bygrave previously worked as business development director at Sumo Games and spent ten years at Activision working on Call of Duty and Destiny, alongside holding senior commercial and strategic roles at Humble Games, Gfinity, and Sumo Digital.
Code Wizards Group CEO Stuart Muckley stated that Bygrave is the ideal person to help the company advance as the games industry changes. Bygrave noted she has long admired the team's ethos and performance.
In other executive appointments, CD Projekt Red promoted Michał Platkow-Gilewski to VP of global communications and marketing, while Playground Games named Daniel Smith as executive producer following his time at Turn 10 Studios and Xbox Game Studios Publishing.
Additionally, 2K and Hangar 13 Games appointed Gero Micciché as lead producer, and Bloober Team named Tymon Smektala executive producer of its curated horror imprint Broken Mirror Games after Smektala spent 13 years at Techland.
