Independent development team Ludogram has announced that the horror adventure game Invokyr will launch in early access on Steam on October 8.
Invokyr is a cooperative survival horror game themed around a cursed board game. The story strands players inside a cold, dark, and old mansion where they encounter a dusty 1970s board game that emits a restless aura.
The developers state that former toys now rule the abandoned estate as game masters. To escape, players must join the game, roll the dice, and navigate dangerous game boards filled with enemies, traps, and escalating difficulty.
The title combines survival mechanics, character progression, and cooperative tension. Players will face dynamic threats that can alter each match, utilizing various dice effects that can either aid or hinder survival while relying on teamwork, timing, and quick decision-making.
Featuring procedurally generated level progression and shifting threat combinations, no two playthroughs will be identical. A demo is currently available on Steam featuring two boards with increasing difficulty, ahead of the October 8 early access release.
