Key information
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled to release on October 23, featuring the extraction shooter mode known as DMZ alongside the Campaign and Multiplayer modes. Players managing their progression will utilize the Forward Operating Base as a command center, which evolves from a simple hideout into a base with a dozen services as successful operations are completed across Hajin.
Immediately available services within the base include active operator management, orders and objectives viewed on a tablet, a stock and loadout system for weapons and equipment, a shooting range, and direct deployment options. Additional services can be unlocked through successful extractions, such as a 3D printer for crafting equipment and upgrading base services, an armory, a daily weapon vendor, a bounty leaderboard, a boss board, plate cases, and a dedicated progression tracker spanning levels 1 to 70.
Players can choose among three deployment options consisting of main missions for narrative objectives, dynamic operations for in-game cash and experience, and free exploration without active missions. The game also features various vehicles across Hajin for land, water, and air travel, alongside a threat level system that escalates enemy responses if players generate too much noise.
