Key information

Expression Games, the developer behind the Hell Let Loose franchise, has officially opened a physical studio in Manchester. CEO Errol Ismail stated that this expansion serves the requirements of both the company's staff and its co-development clients, including work on Star Wars Galactic Racer.

The new office is intended to function as a creative hub for collaboration rather than a replacement for the company's existing remote work model. Ismail emphasized that the firm will not mandate office attendance or enforce set working hours, maintaining the flexibility that has defined the studio since its 2022 launch.

According to Ismail, the decision responds to current talent market trends, as employees have expressed a desire for increased in-person connections. The facility also provides necessary infrastructure for specific co-development projects that require secure on-site data hosting.

Beyond internal operations, the studio aims to foster local talent development through partnerships with institutions like Manchester Metropolitan University. This initiative aligns with the company's long-term growth strategy and its commitment to supporting the creative industry within the Northern Quarter.
