The upcoming game "GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT" is scheduled for release on March 5, 2027, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It features an original universe where a pilot named Rex fights the mysterious silicon lifeform Apocalypse using a special mobile suit called the Gundam Helix.
The mobile suit's assembly system allows players to build the Gundam Helix using head, body, arm, leg, and thruster units. Producer Yuya Tomiyama and director Yoshiyuki Serizawa explained that players can customize parts and choose color schemes, including internal frames and joints. Furthermore, MOD skins let players change the appearance to resemble classic series units such as the RX-78-2 Gundam.
Parts affect performance through parameters like durability and power consumption, which must stay within generator limits. Enhancements provide abilities such as increased melee damage or faster boost recovery. Although hands-on customization was unavailable during the preview, the presentation showcased distinct preset appearances ranging from traditional Gundam faces to mono-eye mass-production styles.
"GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT" will launch on March 5, 2027, across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
