To mark the first anniversary of Ghost of Yōtei, Sony Interactive Entertainment has released the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition. This package includes the base game, the Ghost of Yōtei Legends multiplayer mode, the new roguelike survival mode Most Wanted, and the story expansion Echoes of Sekigahara. The expansion explores Atsu’s past through flashbacks while continuing her journey.
Voice actor Erika Ishii, who portrays the protagonist Atsu, returned to record new dialogue for the expansion and the Most Wanted mode. Ishii noted that the roguelike mode features a more mystical, otherworldly atmosphere compared to the main game. She also shared that Daisuke Tsuji, the voice of Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima, recorded new lines for his appearance in the mode.
Reflecting on her performance, Ishii explained that playing the finished game during development helped her reconnect with the character for the expansion. She utilized the acting concept of "prior moments" to differentiate between the younger Atsu in flashbacks and the current version of the character. Ishii expressed deep gratitude for the role, noting that Atsu will remain a special part of her career.
Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition is available now on PlayStation 5 for 8,980 yen. Existing owners of the base game can upgrade to the Complete Edition for 1,480 yen.
