Key information
Fourth Midearth announced an alternate reality game titled Edda's Bag in collaboration with Square Enix's online RPG Final Fantasy XIV on October 5.
The project is a daily-erosion exploration game that will be held in advance at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2026 in Tokyo, taking place from October 31 to November 1. It combines elements from Fourth Midearth's Human Series, such as Someone's Wallet, with venue-exploration content.
Participants receive a physical Edda's Bag and explore the festival venue while accepting quests on their smartphones. The creators note that the game carries potential danger for players and their characters, featuring horror elements comparable to the Tam-Tara Deepcroft (Hard) dungeon and related quests.
Experiencing the game requires a Fan Festival two-day ticket plus a separately sold Edda's Bag experience ticket. Regular tickets cost 4,400 yen, while party tickets are priced at 11,000 yen. Advance ticket reservations will be held, and same-day tickets are planned for sale at the venue.
