Konami Digital Entertainment Limited has officially unveiled details for the eFootball Championship 2027, a competitive esports series for its free-to-play football title. The upcoming season introduces new qualification paths and expands the World Finals roster from 16 to 24 participants across console and mobile categories.
The total prize pool for the 2027 season has been tripled, rising from 100,000 USD to 300,000 USD. This expansion aims to accommodate more top-tier players as they compete for the world championship title.
The season features two primary formats: the Club Event, where partner clubs like Manchester United and FC Barcelona select their strongest representatives, and the Open, which is accessible to global players. Additionally, winners of local events will secure direct entry into the World Finals, scheduled for the summer of 2027.
Participants in the Club Finals may earn invitations to the Club Tour program, offering visits to partner club stadiums. Furthermore, players achieving high rankings in the in-game Round 3 Ranking Event can earn special Show Time player rewards to bolster their squads.
