Key information
CD Projekt Red has launched a second hotfix for the PC version of The Witcher 3 Remastered edition. This update directly resolves specific lighting complaints and other notable problems reported by players following the release of the remastered version earlier in the week.
The new patch makes multiple visual changes in Velen. These adjustments cover path tracing lighting, Bloom, saturation, and vegetation lighting. Furthermore, the update reverts a modification that previously triggered performance and visual problems when HairWorks was active.
Another major fix targets an audio glitch where voiceover volume became much quieter following use of the pause menu. Additional bug fixes address save and load failures caused by special characters in document paths, marketing telemetry settings, GOG achievements, and launching the Classic version.
Previously, another hotfix focused on consoles also included various lighting adjustments. The overarching Remastered update introduces sweeping changes, such as reworked visuals, improved animations, and alterations to enemy behavior and the skill tree.
