Embark Studios has launched the 2.0 update for the PvPvE extraction shooter ARC Raiders, titled Frozen Trail. This significant release introduces substantial content additions and comprehensive revamps to various gameplay systems.
The update features a new map called Pendola Pass, described as a mountainous, frigid region located beyond the Rust Belt. Players exploring this area will encounter new enemy ARCs, specifically the Hydra and the Bully, alongside opportunities to acquire rare technology.
Progression systems have seen major changes, including a reshuffled skill tree with improved and new unlockable abilities. Additionally, players can now utilize a new Outpost feature to upgrade their weaponry to a higher tier, while Raider Decks have been replaced by reward passes.
Further additions include two new weapons, a weapon stencils feature for customization, and a reorganization of feats. The update also incorporates extensive balance tuning and various minor adjustments detailed in the official patch notes.
