Embark Studios will release the Frozen Trail update for the PvPvE extraction shooter ARC Raiders on October 8, 2026. The update introduces the new snow-covered Pendra Pass map, featuring harsh blizzards that cause rapid freezing and reduced visibility, forcing players to seek shelter in nearby buildings.

The update brings new mechanical elements, including the Emperor Beacon activity where players relocate beacons to intercept ARC payloads. For extraction, players must now call and board ballistic gondolas using gondola transceivers, or potentially use the new grapple hook to latch onto them for escape.

Reviewing the new gear, 4Gamer noted that the grapple hook is exceptionally useful for reaching high areas and alternate routes despite long climbing times. New weapons include the Stiletto semi-auto rifle with low armor penetration and the Bantam hand cannon with high armor penetration, alongside enhanced weapon tiers that alter existing firearm capabilities.

The update will be accompanied by a free-play period from October 8 to October 12, 2026. Additionally, a separate PvE matchmaking test with disabled player damage is scheduled to run from October 13 to October 20, 2026.
