Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have announced the upcoming Apex Legends event titled Blood Moon. Running from October 13 through November 2, the event invites players to the darkened Kings Canyon map to pledge allegiance to either the Beasts or the Demons.
The core of the event is the new Wild Card mode, where players complete challenges to earn cards. Beast faction members gain increased movement speed during melee, faster shield battery usage, quicker weapon swapping, and temporary critical hits after reloading. Conversely, Demon faction players benefit from faster ability cooldowns, high-tier shields, and the ability to fully restore shields using only one small shield battery.
The event introduces environmental hazards like random fog that obscures vision and hides squads. Returning items include the Revenant Skull grenade, designed to help players track enemies in the dark. The map will also feature spooky decorations, including haunted loot bins, glowing Nessies, and pumpkin-themed Evo Caches.
Players can visit the Blood Moon store to purchase themed cosmetics. Offerings include an 80s-inspired werewolf skin for Revenant and a new look for the R-99 weapon. Additional details regarding the event are available on the official Apex Legends website.
