Key information
KORY has released a Steam demo of The Infinite Shift: Backrooms. Its protagonist is a pool cleaner whose routine maintenance job leads out of ordinary reality and into an apparently endless shift.
The initial Poolrooms environment contains warm water and tiled passages. Puzzles and unfamiliar machinery open a route toward Level Zero, making exploration of the workplace central to progression.
Sudden rising water, loops and hallucinations undermine familiar physical expectations. The announced design uses changes in the environment rather than presenting an ordinary cleaning simulator.
The source reports a release-window change from February to March 2027 on Steam. Japanese interface support is listed. The available demo is a preview, not the full commercial release.
