In this game, players act as test users for a system that allows communication with the deceased. Users exchange letters with ghosts residing in a hellish detention facility known as the Post to uncover their backgrounds, personalities, and interpersonal connections.
Beyond written correspondence, players can provide items as gifts to the spirits. However, players must exercise caution regarding the content of their letters. Excessive stress or the triggering of past trauma can cause ghosts to undergo a process called becoming raw, which may lead them to riot or harm others in their search for food.
The player ultimately holds the power to determine the fate of these spirits as they navigate their daily lives and eventual outcomes within the detention facility.
