Key information
Hamster has officially announced the upcoming release of the adventure title Console Archives Ripple Island. The game is scheduled to launch on October 8 for both PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms.
Originally published by Sunsoft in 1988 for 8-bit home consoles, this title features command-selection gameplay. Players assume the role of Kyle, utilizing nine distinct commands to navigate the adventure and progress through the story.
The narrative centers on the mission to rescue Princess Nasarel, who has been abducted by Emperor Gerogale. Success in restoring peace to Ripple Island and the protagonist's romantic outcome depend entirely on the player's strategic decisions.
The digital release will be available for purchase at a price point of 800 yen. This classic title brings its retro adventure mechanics to modern hardware, allowing a new generation to experience the original Sunsoft quest.
