Key information

The puzzle-adventure game Magnet Agent, developed by the four-person team Lulubear Studio, secured the bronze award in the game category at the Bahamut 2026 ACG Creation Contest. The team, which previously failed to win in 2023, spent three years refining their skills and project to achieve this recognition.

Magnet Agent features a unique mechanic where players do not directly control the protagonist, N-52, but instead place magnets and items to manipulate the environment. This design encourages high-freedom puzzle solving, allowing players to discover diverse paths to completion, inspired by classic web games and various cinematic themes.

Judges praised the game's high level of completion but suggested expanding the number of levels. The developers acknowledged the difficulty of balancing artistic perfection with gameplay-focused design, noting that they rely heavily on player feedback from playtests to refine the experience, a process they find irreplaceable despite modern AI tools.

Currently about halfway finished, the game is slated for a Steam release, with a target launch window of March or April 2027. Future updates will include a level editor, Steam Workshop support, and additional chapters. The team plans to showcase a demo at the G-EIGHT 2026 independent game exhibition.
