Key information
Playground Games has finally broken its silence regarding Forza Horizon 6 following months of player feedback being met with no official response from the British studio. In a recent social media post, the developer acknowledged that communication with the Horizon community has fallen short. The studio stated that it is reviewing player feedback concerning post-launch updates and is currently looking into future adjustments for both in-game content and its communication methods.
Despite receiving highly positive reviews at launch, Forza Horizon 6 has faced significant frustration from players and content creators such as STEVIO2175, AR12Gaming, HokiHoshi, and Ericship 111. Criticism centers on the complete lack of live-service communication, the absence of features found in previous franchise titles—including in-game voice chat—and player dissatisfaction with being forced to grind Horizon Festival playlists for recycled cars instead of playing freely. Additionally, the absence of the Forza Monthly program has raised community questions, while a potential PS5 version of Forza Horizon 6 remains without an announced release date despite previously being anticipated for later this year.
Beyond Forza Horizon 6, a second team at Playground Games is currently in the final development stretch for the upcoming Fable reboot. That title is scheduled for release on Xbox, PC, and PS5 on February 23, 2027, prompting questions regarding whether Fable's development has diverted resources away from Forza Horizon 6.
