Korean developer Lunanod has officially unveiled its upcoming title, Meowji Jump, by launching its Steam page alongside a debut trailer. The game features a unique premise where a cat accidentally triggers a laboratory device, transporting it into a quantum realm where it transforms into a box-like creature.

The gameplay centers on grid-based movement where every action, including walking, jumping, and falling, occurs in discrete steps. Players must navigate interconnected environments by pushing standard boxes and the cat's own clones to create platforms or solve environmental puzzles.

A key mechanic allows players to pause and observe their surroundings even while mid-air, removing the need for precise timing. Players must strategically plan their movements, such as where to place boxes or from which grid square to initiate a jump, to overcome height differences and reach new areas.

The game incorporates Metroidvania-style exploration, featuring a vast, interconnected world. As players discover mysterious cat statues, they gain new abilities that unlock previously inaccessible paths, encouraging backtracking to uncover hidden secrets and master new ways to utilize boxes and clones.
