Key information

The exhibition SONIC the Exhibition -ACROSS GENERATIONS- is currently being held at PARCO FACTORY in Ikebukuro PARCO. Running from October 9, 2026, to November 1, 2026, the event commemorates the 35th anniversary of Sega's iconic character, Sonic the Hedgehog.

The exhibition explores Sonic's 35-year history through various lenses, including game software, character design, music, and art. Visitors can view a comprehensive archive of past game titles, including rare releases, alongside demo footage and historical merchandise. A highlight includes a collection of previously unseen development materials, such as concept art and enemy specification sketches, which showcase the meticulous detail behind the series' creation.

The event also features collaborative art pieces from 16 contemporary artists, including Yusuke Nakamura and Taku Inoue. Some of these works are slated for sale, with details to be announced on the PARCO ART website. Additionally, the venue offers exclusive merchandise, such as Arita porcelain and DNA-infused figures, alongside event-specific items.

Attendees receive random stickers featuring series art, with additional stickers available for PARCO members. A social media campaign offers a chance to win a poster signed by creative director Kazuyuki Hoshino. Due to expected crowds, time-specified advance tickets are required for entry from October 9 to October 11.
