Key information

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, The Pokémon Company launched the PokéXciting! in Taipei event on October 10. This two-day celebration, part of an Asian tour, transforms the Xinyi District into a hub for fans, featuring parades, character meet-and-greets, and specialized stage performances.

The event highlights include the PokéXciting! parade and various dance performances featuring Pikachu in EDM, Kids TV, and ROCK styles. A unique Taipei-exclusive Pikachu, characterized by a pink afro, serves as the mascot for the festivities, appearing in both daytime parades and the 30-minute night stage show that combines music and lighting effects.

Interactive elements are spread across locations like the Taipei City Hall East Gate Plaza and Songshou Square Park. Attendees can participate in Pokémon Kids TV coloring activities, visit Pokégenic photo spots, and engage in Pokémon meet-and-greets. While main stage areas require prior registration for entry, broadcast zones are available for those without tickets.

Pokémon GO players can participate in a stamp rally through November 11 to encounter a special Pikachu. Additionally, Pokémon Center TAIPEI has released exclusive merchandise featuring the pink-afro Pikachu. The event concludes on October 11, though certain photo spots and the game-based stamp rally remain accessible beyond the main two-day schedule.
