Spike Chunsoft Co., Ltd. has officially unveiled a series of newly drawn character illustrations for the high-speed deduction action game Danganronpa 2x2. The title is slated for release across multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
The game centers on a group of students trapped on Jabberwock Island by a bear-like mascot named Monokuma, who forces them into a deadly game of mutual killing. Opposing him is Monomi, a rabbit-like mascot who claims to be the students' teacher and attempts to protect them, despite being bullied by Monokuma.
Players take on the role of the protagonist, who arrives on the island with no memory of his past or his "Ultimate" talent. He is joined by a diverse cast of students, each possessing unique "Ultimate" abilities ranging from animal taming and mechanical engineering to high-level athletics, culinary arts, and even organized crime leadership.
Danganronpa 2x2 is priced at 1,390 TWD or 338 HKD for both physical and digital editions. While the publisher has provided details regarding the characters and platforms, they noted that the information is current as of the publication date and remains subject to future revisions.
