The mobile adventure game 18TRIP, which tasks players with revitalizing the tourism industry in the futuristic HAMA18 district, has officially launched its Season 2 content titled Reach for the Next Star. Following the conclusion of Season 1, which featured研修旅行 journeys to Kobe, Shodoshima, Beppu, and Hakodate, the new season introduces seven additional KOBE district managers to the narrative.
To commemorate this transition, an airport-themed promotional event titled HAMA TRANSIT CHECK-IN to Season 2 is being held at the Minatomirai Station in Yokohama. Running for three days starting October 10, the installation features displays documenting the journeys of the four original teams, alongside a new section dedicated to the incoming KOBE district managers.
The exhibit includes interactive elements such as a large LED panel displaying Season 2 visuals, a map showcasing all 30 district managers, and QR codes that allow visitors to listen to character voice samples. Attendees can also view a baggage claim area decorated with stickers referencing previous chapters, highlighting the attention to detail in the game's world-building.
Visitors can receive novelty items like a commemorative boarding pass and stickers, provided they meet specific conditions such as having completed the Season 1 main story in-app. For those unable to attend, the developers plan to release voice videos on their official YouTube channel and distribute boarding passes at Animate stores nationwide starting in late October.
