Sega has announced that the racing title Sonic Racing Cross World will launch its Season 2 DLC pass on November 4, 2026. The update brings significant new content to the game, which is available on platforms including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The Godzilla Pack, arriving November 4, features the Godzilla Escape course, where players race through a modified City Escape stage from Sonic Adventure 2 while avoiding Godzilla's destructive path and radioactive heat rays. The Evangelion Pack, scheduled for January 2027, introduces the Tokyo-3 course based on the Rebuild of Evangelion films, complete with obstacles like the 6th Angel's beams and a final lap featuring Unit-01.
A new 1vs1 Duel mode is being added, supporting both offline and online play. This mode utilizes a visual line to track opponent positioning and introduces the Duel Dash mechanic. Players fill a gauge through time or item usage to trigger a high-speed boost, with the system providing larger gauge increases to those trailing behind to ensure competitive finishes.
Season 2 also includes a collaboration with McLaren Racing, adding a themed Sonic character and vehicle. Additionally, bonus content features Sega hardware-inspired machines, specifically the Genesis Tower US, Sega Saturn JP, and Dreamcast EU models, each reflecting regional design characteristics.
