Choose the session before the loadout
Epic’s October event spans Battle Royale, Horde Rush and Reload. Decide which mode your group wants to play before looking up weapons or strategies: advice for a survival-style session may not fit a competitive match.
Use the event announcement
The announcement lists Nightmare Neighborhood and returning Halloween weapons in Battle Royale, with an updated Nitemare Island in Reload from 8 October. Confirm the current in-game playlist because event content can rotate. Cosmetic Shop appearances are separate from access to the gameplay event.
Before queueing
- Finish the update and confirm everyone is selecting the same playlist.
- Check Epic’s service-status page if login or matchmaking fails.
- Agree on a landing plan and how the team will communicate.
- Compare any older guide’s publication date with the current event notice.
