Minecraft Live recently unveiled The Sift, which is the first new dimension added to the franchise in nearly 15 years. This addition will join the existing Overworld, Nether, and End environments.
The Sift is described by Mojang as a vibrant, beautiful area filled with souls. Players will access this new realm by jumping into or stumbling upon rifts found within the game world.
The content debuts next week in Minecraft Dungeons 2. A wider release is scheduled for the Bedrock and Java editions of the main game next year, with initial areas identified as the Meadow and the Carapace.
Additional updates include an icy biome featuring ice caves, calcite blocks, and light-emitting ice crystals. Furthermore, the base game is scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 27.
