On September 30, 2026, Samsung Electronics announced the upcoming release of its new high-end Android tablets, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+, scheduled for launch on October 7. The waterproof and dustproof Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra features a 14.6-inch organic EL display with a resolution of 2960x1848 dots, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ is equipped with a 12.6-inch organic EL display boasting a resolution of 2800x1752 dots.
Both devices are powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 system-on-a-chip. According to the company, compared to the previous-generation Samsung Galaxy S11 Ultra which utilized the Dimensity 9400+, the new SoC improves CPU performance by approximately 19 percent, GPU performance by about 17 percent, and NPU artificial intelligence processing performance by roughly 61 percent.
The tablets support input via the included S Pen stylus and continue to feature the Samsung DeX mode for PC-like multi-window application usage, designed to be paired with a separately sold keyboard for a laptop-like experience. Additionally, the Galaxy Tab S12 series includes limited promotional perks, such as a four-month free use of the Adobe Photoshop Premium Access plan—marking its first availability on Android tablets—along with a six-month free use of the Clip Studio Paint EX version and a 20 percent discount on an initial subscription.
