CEO Tim Sweeney described this transition as a significant pivot toward maximum AI acceleration, intended to help teams produce better content more efficiently. This strategy is central to the partnership with Disney, which includes a $1.5 billion investment and multiple ongoing gaming collaborations.
Consultant Lachlan Phillips, who has worked on Disney experiences within Fortnite, noted that he advocated for integrating AI-heavy workflows into both coding and art production. Despite these reports, Epic Games has not officially addressed the existence of the specific Disney-themed shooter.
