Publisher Mystic Forge announced that Australia Did It: End-of-the-World Railway Defense Business, developed by Rami Ismail and Aesthetician Labs, will launch on PC via Steam on November 11. The game, which previously featured a demo, tasks players with protecting a cargo train across a post-apocalyptic wasteland filled with mutated creatures and ancient weaponry.

The gameplay blends turn-based tower defense with bullet-hell auto-battles. During station stops, players deploy mercenary units to defend the train from waves of enemies. A core mechanic involves synthesizing units; combining two mercenaries creates a higher-level or different class, with over 30 unit types and 1500 possible combinations available. During transit, the game shifts to an auto-battle mode where players manage a six-unit squad and utilize manual Focus Fire attacks.

Rami Ismail, co-founder of Vlambeer, designed the game to ensure that strategic errors have immediate consequences, addressing his dissatisfaction with long-term failure loops in other strategy titles. Players must navigate branching paths and utilize Meta Cards to strengthen their forces while managing the risks of their mercenary business.

The title, formerly known as Australia Did It, was updated following a community vote. The Steam demo currently holds a "Mostly Positive" status with an 87% approval rating from 31 reviews. While the full release supports Japanese, the current demo does not.
