Developer Boiling Games has officially revealed the first promotional trailer for its upcoming action role-playing game Trench Demon, which is scheduled for release on Steam in the year 2027.
Set against the backdrop of the First World War, the title casts players as a heavily armored, seemingly unstoppable soldier operating alone on the Western Front. Soldiers in the trenches whisper about this armored figure who walks through a hail of gunfire without stopping.
Gameplay mechanics allow players to act as a walking tank capable of deflecting bullets or absorbing them with heavy plate armor, while nearby projectiles appear to slow down. The game features a brutal, skill-based melee combat system set within narrow trench corridors, where every strike undergoes real-time calculation and enemies can read, dodge, or block player attacks.
Additionally, the experience incorporates progression elements where death is not the final end. Players can learn the layout of each trench and unlock new skills so that they grow stronger with every return.
