PlayStation 5 software ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE is scheduled for a regular release on Friday, October 2. The package Collector's Box and the digital Deluxe Edition will allow early play starting Tuesday, September 29.
The game features a campaign set in the fictional world of Strangereal in the year 2029, utilizing the proprietary Cloudly engine to render 10,000 square kilometers of sky. Players can choose from over 30 aircraft divided into fighter, attacker, multirole, and electronic warfare types.
The release includes standard and expert control schemes alongside three perspective modes, namely third-person, HUD, and cockpit views. Additionally, the online mode offers features such as co-op assault, co-op warfare, and regular event missions.
The package Collector's Box is priced at 15,730 yen including tax, while the digital Deluxe Edition is priced at 11,990 yen including tax. Early purchase and pre-order bonuses include the playable aircraft F-14A and a PS5 port of ACE COMBAT ZERO: THE BELKAN WAR.
