A fresh alpha build for Star Citizen debuted over the past weekend, centering on the new RSI Discovery Month event. This month-long initiative introduces various mission types and a collection of rewards for participants to earn.
The event features missions categorized into defense, transport, and collection tasks. Completing these objectives grants points toward personal and category-specific totals, unlocking rewards such as weapons, armor, ship paints, flight blades, and components.
Players can earn a five-day rental of the Constellation Mk V Centaurus and its Skylark snub fighter by finishing a specific rental offer mission. While other earned items are kept permanently, this vehicle rental allows early access to the ship before its official release.
Beyond the event, the update includes shield rebalancing, physics networking overhauls, and experimental VR updates. Cloud Imperium Games also implemented numerous fixes previously mentioned in their September development report.
