Microsoft officially announced the Xbox Nano Controller on October 14, targeting players who prioritize portability or have smaller hands. This device is the company's smallest controller to date, measuring 12.7 centimeters in length and weighing nearly 100 grams.

Despite its reduced dimensions, the controller retains the standard 18 buttons found on Xbox Series X|S models. It features a rechargeable battery and a programmable action button for tasks like capturing screenshots or recording gameplay. The design also incorporates thinner lettering on the classic A, B, X, and Y buttons.

According to Windows Central, the device supports Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth, ensuring compatibility with Xbox consoles, Windows PCs, iOS/Android devices, and modern televisions. However, the community has expressed disappointment regarding the lack of Hall effect or TMR sensors to prevent stick drift, as well as the absence of direct Wi-Fi connectivity for cloud gaming.

Pre-orders are currently open in Spain, with a market release scheduled for November at a price of 49.99 euros. While the controller is marketed for cloud and casual gaming, the specific battery life remains undisclosed by the manufacturer.
